Red Devils Earn Conference Honors

Among the 22
Red Devils named to All-Centennial Conference (CC) teams for the fall 2012
season were the CC Men's Soccer Player of the Year, three first-year athletes
and six members of the nationally ranked men's and women's cross country
teams.
Men's Cross Country
Four cross country
runners were named to the All-CC team. Junior Andrew Fine earned a spot on the
first team. He was a second-team selection in 2011. Juniors Henry Mynatt and
Ryan Steinbock and sophomore Hunter Smith were named to the second team.

Women's Cross Country
Two members
of the women's cross country team, which finished the season nationally ranked
in the top 20, earned All-CC honors. Sara Patterson and fellow junior Taylor
Ludman, the 2011 CC Runner of the Year, were named to the second team. Read

Field Hockey
First-year Caroline
Karwel was named to the All-CC field-hockey team, earning honorable mention
on defense. Karwel, who started all 18 games in her rookie campaign, led the
Red Devils in scoring with seven goals and three assists, scoring a goal in
each of her first four collegiate games. Read

Football
Three Red Devils earned a
spot on the All-CC football team. Junior defensive-lineman Walker Moriarty was
named to the first team on defense. Senior wide-receiver Matt Wood was a
second-team selection and sophomore kicker and punter Adam Kaminski earned
honorable mentions. Read

Men's Soccer
Seven members of the
men's soccer team were named to the All-CC team, including junior Javier Mena,
the 2012 CC Men's Soccer Player of the Year. Mena earned first-team honors.
Joining him on the first team were senior Rob Nowlan and junior Jamie Martin.
Junior Derek Kachadurian was a second-team selection while seniors Cody
Hickok and Shepherd Waldenberger and junior Chris Shultz earned honorable

Women's Soccer
Four Red Devils earned
spots on the All-CC team, including multiple-record-holder Marissa
Kunkle, who made her second appearance on the first team. The senior, who
started all 75 games during her career as a Red Devil, anchored a defense that
posted a school-record 0.52 goals-against-average for the season and led the
team in scoring. Earning honorable mentions were senior Ashley Fields, junior
Rosalin Savoie and first-year Hannah Matlack. Read

First-year Emily Smith
earned honorable mention in her rookie season. Smith led the team in kills and
scoring with 268.5 points, which ranked ninth in the CC. Read
