Jean Louise Stellfox '60 was so inspired by a visit by poet Robert Frost in 1959 that she left more than $1 million to Dickinson. The gift will achieve Stellfox's lifelong mission to inspire students the way she was once inspired by Frost. British novelist and Booker Prize winner Ian McEwan came to campus in September 2005 as the first recipient of the Stellfox Prize and Residency for Literary Excellence.
