Linguistics is the scientific study of human language.  The Linguistics Minor at Dickinson is highly interdisciplinary, including courses in Anthropology, Philosophy, Sociology, and various language departments.  Students learn fundamentals of phonetic, grammatical, and semantic analysis, and take courses which examine language in different social and cultural contexts.
