'13 Students Sign Graduation Pledge for Sustainability

Nearly 100 Class of 2013 students have signed the Dickinson Graduation Pledge to explore and improve the social and environmental consequences for their places of employment & communities beyond life at Dickinson.

College Farm Hosts Medley of Spring Events

Hundreds gather at Farm for May Day celebration, CSA kick off, Bike to Farm Potluck, S.E.E.D. workshops for youth, department picnics, sourdough baking workshop, weeding & feeding, and other educational opportunities.  

First Class of Baird Sustainability Fellows

Seven '13 students from across academic disciplines were selected for the new honors fellowship that recognizes excellence in advancing sustainability through academics, service and leadership. Check out the Colloquium their work in the Baird Honors Colloquium.

David Orr Visited Dickinson March 26-27

Orr's campus and community residency included class visits, study groups with students and faculty, tour of our college farm and surrounding communities, meeting with 60+ community leaders and a public lecture entitled Designing Resilience in a Black Swan World.
