Hundreds gather at Farm for May Day celebration, CSA kick off, Bike to Farm Potluck, S.E.E.D. workshops for youth, department picnics, sourdough baking workshop, weeding & feeding, and other educational opportunities.  

Seven '13 students from across academic disciplines were selected for the new honors fellowship that recognizes excellence in advancing sustainability through academics, service and leadership. Check out the Colloquium their work in the Baird Honors Colloquium.

Orr's campus and community residency included class visits, study groups with students and faculty, tour of our college farm and surrounding communities, meeting with 60+ community leaders and a public lecture entitled Designing Resilience in a Black Swan World. 

The Dickinson Community works to promote sustainability by providing The Handlebar Bicycle Co-Op, daily Red Bike loans, semester-long Green Bike loans, convenient bike racks across campus and biking education programming & events such as our tradition of Bike to Farm Potlucks.

ALLARM, founded in 1986, has become a nationally recognized technical and programmatic support center for community organizations interested in watershed assessment, protection, and restoration.

Provost Weissman believes that sustainability has the potential to vitalize and validate liberal learning in ways that both deepen our practice as teachers and engage us meaningfully with the wider world.
