Networking
Networking is a critical part of the internship or job search. Some studies suggest that 70% of jobs are found through networking.

Dickinson Works – an online tool that connects you with Dickinson alumni working in different fields. You can search by career field, major, geographic location, etc. Please read the Networking Guide
before contacting Dickinson alumni through Dickinson Works. To access the Dickinson Works database, log in to Gateway and click the “Student Resources” tab.
Informational Interviewing – Informational interviewing is a way to gather information about different career options. In an informational interview, you meet with a professional in your field of interest, ask questions, and get advice for your next steps. This is also a good way to build your professional network.
