  • Harry Danner ’61 is the patriarch of a distinguished theatrical family that includes sister Blythe Danner and niece Gwyneth Paltrow.

  • Just three years after graduation, Harry Danner ’61 played the doomed heartthrob, Lieut. Cable, in the American Light Opera production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s South Pacific in Washington, D.C.

  • In 1967, Danner began his favorite role, as Prince Karl Franz in The Student Prince. He toured the United States for several years as the star of the operetta.

  • Danner took on the romantic role of Tony in West Side Story. This Ft. Worth, Texas, production, with Victoria Mallory as Maria, played in the mid-1970s.

  • With the Lake George Opera, circa 1980, Danner sang the role of Sam in Carlisle Floyd’s Susannah. Karen Hunt played the title role.
