The Global Experience: Hyderabad, India
by Jordan Elizabeth Mohr '13
The chaos of the crowded cities in India seemed overwhelming when I first arrived. As I spent more time in the country, though, I began to see fractions of the cities, composed of individual lives. Many people owned their own small businesses, and whether they gave boat rides, sold fruit, cared for elephants or tailored clothing, they all seemed largely unfazed by the commotion surrounding them. Instead, they maintained a quiet, diligent focus within their own small piece of the world to maintain health and happiness each day for themselves and their families.
