Patrick Cummings ’02 is profiled in The New York Times for the mark he’s making on the horseracing industry

Lots of kids develop a love of horses in their youth, but Patrick Cummings '02 turned the passion he developed when he was just 7 into a renowned career. He first started calling horseraces while he was a student at Dickinson through an internship as a production assistant at Philadelphia Park.
A recent New York Times feature on Cummings outlines the interesting path the policy-management and political-science double major has taken since, including founding the Web site Dubairacenight.com and becoming one of the most authoritative figures on Dubai racing, gaining more than 3,000 followers on his Dubairacenight Twitter account, earning his MBA at Baylor University and in 2001 joining Trakus as business manager and director of racing information.
