Events

The department offers weekly, annual and decadal events.

The weekly Earth Sciences Lunch and Learn Seminar Series, unless otherwise noted, is held Tuesdays from 12-1 p.m. in the HUB Social Hall (check with the information desk).  

Annual events include the Potter Lecture, the holiday party at the end of the fall semester, an end-of-year picnic in May and a graduation brunch for seniors and their families. 

Decadal Events:  The Joseph Priestley Lecture.  Roughly every decade the department of Earth Sciences hosts a distinguished lecturer.  The award recipient is chosen by a different science department each year.  (List of past Earth Sciences' recipients.)
