Annual Fees
The Dickinson College annual fee webpage provides a comprehensive breakdown of all the fees associated with attending the college. It includes detailed descriptions of tuition, housing, food plans, student fees, health insurance, and other miscellaneous fees such as lab fees and study abroad fees. The page is designed to offer transparency and clarity to students and their families, ensuring they understand the full cost of attendance and any additional charges that may apply.
Tuition is assessed as a flat rate to all students enrolled at full-time status (registered for 3 or more courses per semester) and as a per credit charge to all students enrolled at part-time status (registered for less than 3 courses per semester). Tuition, less financial aid provided to students, helps to fund some (but not all) of the College's educational expenses. The Student Fee is assessed as a flat rate to all students enrolled at full-time status (registered for 3 or more courses per semester) and as a per credit charge to all students enrolled at part-time status (registered for less than 3 courses per semester). This fee supports non-academic student services, activities, programs and a variety of other services and amenities offered to students by the College. This fee is applicable to registered full-time and part-time students participating in courses on the Carlisle campus, billed per semester. The transcript fee is assessed to all incoming students entering their first registered semester. This fee covers all transcript requests through the Registrar’s Office. This fee is assessed to all incoming first year or transfer students for their first semester. This fee offsets the food services provided to the student during the three-day orientation prior to the start of the registered term. All students living on campus are required to purchase a food plan. Students residing in dormitory style doubles, triples or singles are eligible to choose one of the following plans: Any 15 + Sushi/Any 21/Flex 1/Flex 2. Students residing in apartment style doubles, triples or singles are eligible to choose one of the following plans: Any 15 + Sushi/A21/Flex 1/Flex 2 or Apartment Flex. For your convenience, here are the details of each food plan and here is the fee breakdown for each plan. All full-time enrolled students are required to live in College housing and participate in a College food plan. Exceptions to the residency and food plan requirements are made for students who meet any one of the following criteria: There are five housing rates: double occupancy, single occupancy, triple/quad occupancy, apartment double/triple/quad, or single apartment. The housing rate breakdown can be found here. Dickinson College requires all enrolled full-time students to have health insurance. All international students are automatically enrolled and billed directly to their account. Domestic students have the option to waive with comparable health insurance or enroll and be billed directly to their account. For detailed information regarding the student health insurance, please click here. Additional fees may be charged for Art & Art History course levels 200, 300 and 400. These fees range between $45 and $80, depending upon the course registration. Students registering for individual music lessons (Performance Studies) that are not required to complete their degree are assessed a non-refundable fee. One hour/week instruction per semester = $750.00; one half-hour/week instruction per semester = $375.00. If a student registers a vehicle on campus, the student will be billed for a parking pass. This is $60.00 for the academic year and $30.00 per semester. Interest is charged at 1.5 percent per month on the unpaid prior month balance. Students are responsible to pay all charges, including accrued interest, collection fees and attorney fees, incurred by Dickinson College in collecting on delinquent balances.
