Old West Society Membership

Established in the tradition of providing a living record of the legacy of our graduates, parents and friends, The Old West Society recognizes those individuals who have provided future support to Dickinson College through their estate and life income plans.

Although notifying Dickinson during your lifetime of your estate intentions is not necessary, doing so allows the College to recognize your generosity publicly and inspires others to give as well. Informing Dickinson of your plans also helps the College to understand how you wish us to utilize your gift at the end of your life.

Notification of your intentions need not be more than a simple statement that you have included Dickinson in your estate plans for a certain amount, a percentage of your estate, or the residual of your estate. You may also choose to share the page of your will referencing Dickinson if you are comfortable doing so.

Each year estate and life income gifts add significantly to the financial stability and health of the College; providing support for scholarships, academic and student initiatives among others.

If you have included the College in your estate or life income plans, we extend our most sincere gratitude for your forethought. If you would like to speak with someone at the College regarding your plans, or how you might become a member of the Old West Society, please contact Carolyn Yeager, Associate Vice President for Development, at 1-800-543-3809 or at giving@dickinson.edu .
