More than 280 Students 'Rush to Thank' Donors
Students took time out to thank the
alumni, parents, faculty and staff members who support their education
through a new campaign, Rush to Thank. Held March 30, this campus-wide
event connected the more than 6,000 donors who have contributed this
year with the students who benefit from their generosity.
Dickinson
staff members posted 242 signs throughout campus, offering thoughts
shared by alumni about why they give back to the college, as well
as information about the ways in which donations are used. “Our goal was
to help students understand the importance of philanthropy and how it
impacts their Dickinson experience,” explained Nicki Redmond, assistant
director of annual giving.
In response, more than 280 grateful students expressed their appreciation by participating in the thank-you-note campaign.
