From points north:

Take Interstate 270 south toward Washington/Northern Virginia. Merge onto the Capital Beltway/ I-495 south/ I-495 Outer loop. Take Maryland state Route 190 exit 39 to River Road/Potomac/Washington, and follow signs for River Road and Route 190 east/Washington. Take the right fork to Route 190 east/Washington, and merge onto River Road . Drive for 5.3 miles. Make a slight right onto Wisconsin Avenue N.W. , and drive 1.4 miles. Turn right onto Cathedral Avenue N.W. After a short distance, make a sharp left onto Massachusetts Avenue N.W. , followed by a sharp right onto Whitehaven Street N.W.

From points south:

Take Interstate 395 north. Merge onto Washington Boulevard via exit 8B. Take U.S. Route 50 west/Arlington Boulevard to N. Lynn Street . Lynn Street will merge with U.S. Route 29 north. Continue on Route 29 north. Turn right onto M Street N.W., followed by a left turn onto Q Street N.W. Turn left onto 23 rd Street N.W. At Sheridan Circle N.W. , take the second exit onto Massachusetts Avenue N.W. Make a slight left onto Whitehaven Street N.W.

From points east:

Take U.S. Route 50 west/ New York Avenue N.E. The road name changes to Mt. Vernon Place N.W. and changes again to Massachusetts Avenue N.W. At Mt. Vernon Square , turn right to stay on Massachusetts Avenue. Turn left onto Whitehaven Street.

From points west:

Take Interstate 66 east toward Washington . Merge onto the Potomac River Freeway north via the E Street/I-66 east ramp. Merge onto L Street N.W. via the Whitehurst Freeway exit. Make a sharp left at Pennsylvania Avenue N.W. Turn right at 29th Street N.W. and drive .4 miles. Turn right at Q Street N.W. then left onto 23rd Street N.W. At Sheridan Circle N.W. , take the second exit onto Massachusetts Avenue N.W. Make a slight left onto Whitehaven Street N.W.
