What you may assume is a glamorous, prestigious, well-paying profession
can often be both a boring and stressful one, leaving you little
time to develop personal relationships and outside interests. Challenge
your motivation for pursuing law school! Make sure someone else
hasn’t made your decision – a well-meaning family member
or counselor – or that you are not avoiding the “real
world” by simply continuing to be a student. Do an internship
in a law firm; shadow a lawyer for several days and talk to others
in the profession. If you like what you see, you may be a great
candidate for law school and an effective future lawyer. |
