Title: Dickinson Students @ UN Climate Change Conference

Description: Eleven Dickinson students joined 20,000 delegates from 190 nations to participate in the UN climate change conference held in Durban, South Africa in December. They met with and interviewed negotiators, activists, scientists, and youth leaders from Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas as the culmination of a semester of study of climate change science and policy. 

Come hear their perspectives on what happened and what more needs to be done.

Sustainability at home: (Near) net-zero-energy living

Abstract:
Dickinson College just finished a month-long energy challenge where the goal was to reduce the college's energy use by 10% over the entire month compared to the previous year. Come and see how some common-sense planning and modern construction techniques helped a local family reduce their energy consumption by approximately 90% annually.
