Philadelphia Orchestra Concertmaster David Kim returns to Dickinson College in a special concert

David Kim, concertmaster of The Philadelphia Orchestra, returns to Dickinson as the guest concertmaster and leader in an unconducted all-Mozart concert at Dickinson on Tuesday, Jan. 22 at 7 p.m. in the Rubendall Recital Hall, Weiss Center for the Arts. The concert is free and open to the public and it crowns a three-day residency during which Mr. Kim works with Dickinson students, alumni and faculty.

Featured soloist will be pianist Jennifer Blyth, associate professor of music. The Dickinson Orchestra for this special project includes students, alumni, faculty and community musicians. The program features Mozart’s “Eine Kleine Nachtmusik,” Symphony No. 25 and Piano Concerto No. 24.

David Kim, a graduate of The Juilliard School, is the Benjamin Rush Concertmaster Chair of The Philadelphia Orchestra, where he appears as a soloist each season.
