Congratulations to Political Science Majors!

Leading and Learning: Josh Handelsman will attend Yale Law School after his Teach for America service in New Mexico.

 

Congratulations Seniors! 

Rebecca Ben-Amou was accepted into the master of arts program in international relations at the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), a two-year program at The Johns Hopkins University.

Arianna Demas will be working for the law firm McLaughlin & Stern in NYC as a paralegal in their litigation department.

Stephanie Dorsey will join the law firm Akin Gump Strauss & Feld LLP, in Washington, D.C. as a paralegal.

Taylor Ferry will work in the executive offices of Robertson's Flowers, a Philadelphia-area florist.

Jamie Lopez will be attending Loyola Law School in Los Angeles in the fall to pursue a juris doctorate degree.

Brett Lerner '12 just accepted to University of Maine Masters in Global Policy.

Joshua Handelsman '12 has been accepted to Yale Law School for academic year 2012.

Katelyn Musgrave is currently in Chennai (Feb. grad), working with an NGO (the Assoc. for India's Development is the larger organization; the local branch is Eureka Child). In terms of more long term plans, though, she plans to a a Masters at American University's School of International Service. [Starting August 2013. She deferred their offer for a year to allow herself more time to do some exploring, get some ground experience, etc.]

Darrell Pacheco will be working for The Vanguarg Group as a Client Relationship Associate in Philadelphia.

Sara Ramsay will be working for the federal government.

Chris Smith will be attending Northeastern University School of Law next year (fall 2012).

Jake Sternberger will be attending The Penn State University Dickinson School of Law in the fall of 2012.

 

 Congratulations!

Tyler M. Smith, Dickinson '08 and The Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law '11, is an associate attorney in Gross McGinley's Business Services practice group.

Ryan Sellinger '10 was accepted early decision at Georgetown Law and will begin law school in the fall of 2012.

Whitney Moyer '09, just completed two years as a Middle School teacher in Tulsa, Oklahoma in the Teach for America Program. Whitney says, "my experience as a middle school math teacher in Tulsa, Oklahoma was, by far, the most challenging and personally transformational work I've ever done. It was definitely a rewarding two years."

Whitney earned a scholarship to Johns Hopkins Institute for Policy Studies and will begin work on a Master of Public Policy in the fall 2011.

 

Kirby Kernan ('11) has been accepted into the Peace Corps and will be posted to Namibia in southwestern Africa in August.

Amanda Krusemark Benton '08 will attend the HARVARD Kennedy School Master's in Public Policy Program in the fall 2012;

Abigail Adams '11, George Washington University Master's Program in Political Management; 

Jarrod Bouchard '11, Seton Hall's Master's Program in International Affairs; 

Nicole Garubo '11, London School of Economics and Political Science Master's Program in International Relations; 

Jillian Laux '10, International Relations and European Studies Master's Programs at the London School of Economics and Political Science. 

Accepted to Internship Program: 

Anna Aroutiounian '11, Terjenian-Thomas Assembly Internship Program.

 

 

 

 

Accepted to the Teach for America Program:  

Jaun Carlos Flores '11, will teach grades 4-6 in Houston, TX; 

Rachel Warzala '11, will teach English in Newark, NJ; 

Stephen Williams '11, will teach secondary school mathematics in Philadelphia, PA; 

Caitlin Yaeger '11, will teach secondary school mathematics in Memphis, TN. 

Commissioned in the U.S. Army:

Jonathan Swedborg 11, will be assigned active duty and Branched Infantry with initial duty at Fort Drum, NY.
