Ben Edwards is slowly returning from the land of sabbatical and it turns out he's been pretty busy. Lately he's been splitting his time between studying tuya volcanoes in British Columbia and studying an active eruption at Tolbachik in Kamchatka.
Here, Ben's pointing out the passage zone of an old eruption in BC to alums Gwen Dunnington ('10) and Everett Lasher ('11) while they were on a summertime research trip. Ben also has active research in Iceland and, this summer, will be taking 2 students with him to study the recent volcanic eruptions.
We're wasting no time getting the Spring Seminar Series underway with Maria Bruno from the Department of Archeology & Anthropology set to talk this coming Tues, Jan. 22 at 12:05 p.m. in HUB Social Hall East. Grab some lunch and join us!
The rest of the schedule for the semester is available here.
