FYS Excellence in Writing Award Contest Winners Announced

Congratulations to the three winners of this year's First-Year Seminar Excellence in Writing Awards:

Leigh Harlow also accepted for two-year program with Teach for America

Leigh will be teaching secondary Special Education in Greater New Orleans for Teach for America, which provides teachers for disadvantaged school districts across America. 

 

Peter Wright has been accepted for two-year position with Teach for America

 Permanent link
Peter will be teaching secondary Science or Social Studies in Colorado for Teach for America, which provides teachers for disadvantaged school districts across America.

Julia Feerrar will be pursuing an MS in Library Science at UNC Chapel Hill

Julia will begin the 2 year program this fall at the School of Information and Library Science, UNC, Chapel Hill. 

 

Rebecca Payne has been accepted for programs at Georgetown University

Rebecca will be pursuing a Masters of German and European Studies (MAGES) and a PhD in German. She has chosen to defer both to begin her graduate studies in fall of 2013.
