These events are designed for seniors to offer a dynamic illustration of the diversity of thought, action and being that is typified by Dickinson students and will provide you with a more in-depth look at Dickinson College.

Information Sessions

Information Sessions are conducted by admissions staff members and provide an excellent opportunity to learn about the college’s distinctive mission and programs, faculty and student experiences, and the admission, scholarship and financial-aid processes.

During the month of August, the admissions staff will offer information sessions Monday through Friday at 10:15 a.m. and 2:15 p.m. From September through December we will offer a 10:15 a.m. information session on Monday through Friday. We will offer both a 10:15 a.m. and 2:15 p.m. information session on these dates:

September 1 and 30, October 9 and 13, and November 4, 6, 7 and 11.

Campus Tours

Our tour guides typically conduct tours Monday through Friday at 9 and 11 a.m. and 1, 2 and 3 p.m. To confirm availability and schedule a campus tour in advance, please call us at 800-644-1773.

Student volunteers (the Liberty Cap Society) will show you around and answer any questions you may have. You’ll get a glimpse inside a residence hall, some academic buildings and other facilities like the Holland Union Building (student center), the Kline Center (athletics facilities) and the Waidner-Spahr Library.

Day Visits

A day visit gives you the opportunity to experience life as a Dickinson student for the day. Each day-visit itinerary is customized for you. Typically, it will include (but is not limited to) attending classes in an area of academic interest and lunch in the Dining Hall with a current Dickinson student. Optional requests may include a campus tour, interview opportunity or meeting with a faculty member or coach. The day-visit program is our most popular option for students hoping to explore Dickinson “behind the scenes.”

Day visits are offered on Monday and Friday from Sept. 15 – Nov. 24 (with the exception of Oct. 10, 13 and 17 due to Fall Pause) and must be scheduled two weeks in advance by calling the Office of Admissions at 800-644-1773.

On-campus Interviews

Interviews are optional, but they are a useful tool for determining a student's "fit" with the college. We encourage you to bring an unofficial transcript and activities resumé to the meeting. Interviews last approximately 35 minutes and are conducted by admissions counselors.

Interviews are typically offered on campus Monday through Friday at 1:15, 2:15 and 3:15 p.m. for seniors only. To confirm availability and schedule an interview in advance, please call us at 800-644-1773.

Off-campus Interviews

If you are unable to schedule an on-campus interview, off-campus interviews may be available in your area. Off-campus interviews are conducted by trained alumni and parent volunteers as well as student interviewers. Off-campus interviews are accorded the same weight in application review as those conducted on campus. To confirm availability and schedule the interview, please call the Office of Admissions at 800-644-1773.

Off-campus interviews are only offered from mid-September through the end of January and must be requested at least three weeks before the application program deadline by which you are applying.
