Students from Professor Asunción Arnedo’s Spanish 104 class
visited the college farm on Saturday, September 29 th. The visit to the farm was given purpose from the Valley &Ridge sustainability program that Professor Arnedo participated in. She wanted to give her students a sense of place and to
connect them with the college farm and its offerings.
Heather Livingston, a Spanish language student, incorporated
her language skills into a fun and interesting bi-lingual guided tour of the
farm for fellow students.
Professor Mark Aldrich made a plein air Paella lunch for all the students and their guests. Many of the ingredients used in the paella were
fresh picked from the college farm.
