College Farm and Sustainability

Dickinson College Farm CSA (Campus Supported Agriculture)

From the Farm to your Kitchen – Dickinson Vegetable Shares – sign ups are now open. Fully customized vegetable shares with options for a 24 week or a 30 week season beginning in late May. Pick up weekly or every other week at the Farm or on campus. Our produce is certified organic and freshly harvested. Beef, lamb, eggs and other tasty surprises are also offered as “extras”. Let us share a taste of farm goodness with you!
Pick up window is 12 noon – 5:30pm.

College Farm CSA Starting May 21!

The Dickinson College Organic Farm is accepting sign-ups for the 2024 CSA season. We are again offering small and large shares both weekly and every other week. A 30-week share brings you into the second full week of December and a 24-week share brings you through late October.

2024-2025 Open Enrollment

Full-time employees should complete annual open enrollment and retirement elections by logging into the Employee Dashboard via the Gateway - Self Service Banner. The open enrollment period runs from May 7 - May 22. Current insurance benefits, retirement amounts, and annual giving contributions will continue into 2024-2025 if no changes are made; however, flexible spending accounts require an active re-enrollment each year. Check the 2024-2025 Open Enrollment website for important information regarding upcoming changes this year as well as details on how to complete the open enrollment process. The deadline is May 22, so don't delay, make those elections today!

Opening Up About Mental Health

This webinar is made available as part of the Reliance Standard EAP.

We have made such great progress in encouraging the discussion around mental health and mental illness, and we want to continue going in the right direction. This class focuses on the challenges yet to be conquered as well as stigmas that we still need to overcome. We will delve into “the tentacles” of outreach and discuss how our mental health affects other societal issues.

Student Jobs/Careers/Internships

Summer 2024 Internship/Research Registration

If you are pursuing a remote or in-person internship or research experience this summer, you can register with the Summer Internship Notation Program (INP) or Research Experience Program (REXP). Through INP/REXP, you’ll enhance your internship/research by engaging in a personalized, reflective experience designed to support your goals. AND, the experience will be recognized on your official academic transcript.

All active, matriculated students with an internship are welcome to register through the Forms section of Gateway. Students should plan to submit a registration before June 1, if possible. Please contact Amity Fox if you need more time to make the internship arrangements.

International students studying on an F1 visa:
According to F-1 regulations, if you plan to pursue an internship/research experience with an organization other than Dickinson College – whether remote or in-person, whether paid or unpaid – you MUST register with the INP and obtain CPT work authorization approval BEFORE you can start the experience.
• CPT is required in every circumstance if you are located within the U.S.
• CPT is required if you are located outside of the U.S. but working for a U.S.-based company
• CPT is not required if you are located outside of the U.S. and working for a non-U.S.-based company
